Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Pain Management

 

 

Amanda did a BSc (Hons) Physiology degree before her BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree, both at King’s College London. She worked in Central London teaching hospitals before undertaking an MSc in Pain, also at King’s College London. She moved to Oxfordshire in 2011 where she has since worked at the at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and now in the private sector. 

 

Amanda has more than 10 years experience of working in Pain Management Services, treating a broad range of persistent musculoskeletal pain conditions. She has an appreciation of the wider impact that living with chronic pain can have on an individual’s physical and mental wellbing. She draws upon her physiotherapy skills, combined with psychologicaly informed techniques, in line with evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines, in the holistic treatment of patients. Amanda also has expertise in managing chronic fatigue syndrome/ME and joint hypermobility syndromes. 

 

Amanda is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (PH656330) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (070256) and she is a member of the Physiotherapy Pain Association and British Pain Society. She is a registered therapist with BUPA, VitalityHealth, AXA PPP and Aviva.
